Testing the Water

Saturday morning we joined Aunt Kathryn for our first swim. God held off the rain and our water adventure was a success. We looked at the water for awhile, dipped our toes in and floated in our new ride after adjusting to the cold water. We were thankful that our first experience in the pool was a good one and look forward to many more now that summer for Christy is finally here.

Thirty & 1/2

I remember when I was little how important adding the "half" to my age was when asked. Now it is equally important because now Caleb and I share half birthdays. Not only am I thirty but Caleb is 6 months.
Thursday morning a sweet little voice made me smile. Among all of the Bye-Bye's, I got a Ma-Ma (as he cried for me to get him). Who knows when he will say it again, but it sure made my day. Last week was sitting by himself, this week Ma-Ma...what's next? This is more suspenseful than a good episode of Lost.

I came home Thursday afternoon to find t-shirts and tickets to the Naturals' game. It was a wonderful night to be outside and Caleb did great. With a little nap midstream, he was ready to go again. The 7th inning stretch didn't have anything on the 4th inning nap. There were so many distractions that he didn't even notice it was way past his bedtime.

Wednesday night we ran into several friends at dinner. Seeing Miranda in from Iowa was a special treat. Caleb was mesmerized by the sparkler brought to the table.

Tuesday was dinner with the men's group in which Matt sings. Being one of two little ones in attendance, Caleb got lots of attention. Caleb slept through last Sunday's performance, but was wide awake for this event.

We are looking forward to a restful Memorial Day weekend as Granddaddy Gregson is visiting and we count down the days until summer vacation.

Last weekend Caleb met Ethan. We are so excited Ethan is here and healthy. I'm sure there will be more exciting times to come with these two.

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day was sunny but cold. We snapped a few pictures on our way to church. You can see some of my present (flowers) behind me. There was no "Mommy" said (not for lack of me trying) but lots of sighing back and forth. Caleb wants desperately to be on the move. He rolled completely over last week. It is fun to watch his trial and error figuring out how to scoot on his belly. He is trying to bring the Caterpillar back in style and nothing is cuter than that tush in the air.

After a beautiful Saturday of planting flowers, we received bad storms but no tornadoes at our house. Caleb is showing off some of the hail from the yard.

We are proud to announce we have a confirmed sit. Yesterday morning he tried to balance himself. Yesterday before Bible study he held his position for quite some time and pulled up his hands. I don't know who is more proud, Caleb or his parents.

Cutie-Pi

We caught lots of fun expressions one afternoon in bed.

This was the first time he fell asleep after wearing himself out playing.
Caleb is enjoying his toys but nothing is more fascinating than Baron. Baron passing by or singing can stop a cry immediately. He is also Caleb's incentive to try to move as he tries hard to touch Baron. Good thing Baron will do anything for a treat!
