Suiters Come to Town

We started our Thanksgiving break with a house full. When discussing family traditions in class, Gracie talked about going to Aunt Christy's house. It would be easy to recognize it as a convenient opportunity to get together making use of extra days off school during the Thanksgiving break or we can choose to view it as a family tradition. I like the way she thinks!
Madison was all smiles for her audience!
 Caleb worked on his smiles.

and Emma Katherine was eager to show us the many faces of Emma.

This little angel slept through most but perked up just in time.

Our attempt to get a picture of this happy bunch was a success!

Fire Station Visit

Could there be any better way to celebrate your birthday than touring the fire station? This was a little boy's dream come true. Matt gets credit for this idea.

The wide-eyed gasps each time something new was opened was priceless. This was an unforgettable experience and glad some friends could join us for the fun.

I really appreciate the firemen taking time to make this little boy's dream come true! Thankfully there was only one call while we were there needing only the ambulance.
Caleb's favorite was the transformed hummer. It was just his size!

Clayton is 3 months

Clayton's sounds are adorable. The addition of his "goos" and occasional laugh out loud is so precious. I love watching people hold him as he lights up their faces as they try to get him to laugh. Still in 3 month clothing but soon on our way to 3-6 mos. He's eating like a champ-around 6 times a day and can take care of 4-5 ounces no problem. Our best smiles come with a full belly, but isn't that true of us all? He is sleeping most nights until 5-6am returning to sleep pretty easily. The pacifier is definitely a last resort wanted only when fussy. If he's happy or full, he just kind of gags on it.
Clayton still likes his fists and usually has his "boxing gloves" up or to his mouth. Despite a occasional fusses with gas, he has a pretty relaxed personality and will give most anyone's shoulder a good snuggle.

Those eyes just melt my heart staring up at me which make him hard to put down.
Clayton loves staring into faces and he usually has some cute ones to choose!

 sweet faces of Emma

Caleb turns 6!

Caleb was more aware than ever and was counting down until his birthday using his calendar at school. For Caleb's birthday he chose his to eat at Mojitos, his favorite place.
He gladly shared the chocolate part of his dessert since he still isn't a fan.
Grandma was in town to join us. Before dinner both received hair cuts. For Emma, it was her first trim. At home, Caleb unwrapped his books and camping play set.
At six, Caleb has grown so much in the past few months. Since the beginning of school he has begun really reading and writing. He is really excited about math too. He tries to do his best when doing things like coloring, taking his time a lot more. He weighs 46 pounds and 46 inches tall. This doesn't surprise me since consistency and pattern are characteristic of him. He could spend hours with his legos and creates the most creative things on his own. He has such a sweet compassionate spirit. He loves to hold and take care of Clayton. With his ability in writing has also come a desire to write. He creates letters and cards for everyone. He is growing up and frequently gets comments about him doing so, but he is still the sweet boy snuggles and whose hair I can't keep my fingers out.
Saturday we wore our Razorback gear in hopes for a win, but they didn't break their streak. Instead he had fun picking up the cake and party gear for his party Sunday.
