Trip to Tulsa

We enjoyed a fun day trip to Tulsa. We tried a popular pizza place called Hideaway and now understand the rave reviews.
With full bellies, we went to an indoor trampoline park. The kids loved it and were definitely worn out from jumping.

A couple days later, this crew was still full of sillies.
Caleb still loves to hold his baby brother.
 Our attempt at simultaneous smiles!

My handsome baby boy is 5 months old. So precious!

Clayton at 5 Months

Clayton has become quite the conversationalist. He will "coo coo" for a while. Jan 4th he really discovered his voice by himself. It was so sweet to hear this conversation from inside his room. Precious! The next week he had full body excitement adding arms and legs.
The drool has picked up quite a bit and loves to put those hand in his mouth. He isn't crazy about his pacifier it but definitely takes when needed. He skipped from shoe size 1 to 3 which probably more indicates how frequently he wear shoes. As cold as it's been, we are mostly in something footed.
We enjoyed a couple random Arkansas days of beautiful weather among the days of freezing. he started batting at the toys in his bouncy seat and finally grabbed a hold on the 13th. He showed us he was ready to be on the move by turning 180 degrees in the bed and we celebrated with a trip to Tulsa.
To celebrate 5 months and a good friend's birthday, he tried out a bouncy house (ok he smiled while being propped up) and was all grins as usual. Daddy's been working on strength. Clayton will hold on to fingers and do most of the work to sit from being on his back.
He is still the most content little guy and every time I leave him in the nursery or for parent's night out, everyone always comments on his snuggling.

We are excited to welcome the new year to see what it holds and watch this cutie pie grow.

How cute are they watching football in their matching onesies?

Clayton at 4 Months

The day after Christmas Clayton was 4 months old. He seemed to change more from month 3 to 4. His little cheeks have filled out and wide grin flashed constantly sure helps those little cheeks stand out. This past month was full of snow days and Christmas break so lots of time at home to stare at this little guy. He rolled front to back December 14th, played baby Jesus the 11th, and was quite social at all the Christmas parties. He loved watching the Christmas lights from his swing or on the beanbag underneath the tree.
At his 4 month doctor's visit he weighed 14lbs 0.5 oz and 24.25 inches long.
These grins are much more often and comes alive when he sees faces.

My little photography assistant loves her little brother. She was happy to take a few pictures with him.

More Christmas Fun

Later Christmas evening we enjoyed a few more surprises. It was obviously after some yummy spaghetti. Caleb was still in his pajamas and Emma Katherine was on her third princess dress.

I loved the way she presented each gift with such enthusiasm.
She loved her new Fancy Nancy doll.
This sweet piece of peppermint enjoyed the view from his swing

 or snuggled in Daddy's arms.

The next day we spent more time with the Beardsleys before they drove back to Michigan.
