Christmas Lights

This Christmas season we found a new place with amazing lights. Just south of us is a well decorated house and area around it. We were amazed with all of the lights hanging in the trees and the countless inflatables. The lady selling the kettle corn said it had been there for years. Where have we been?

First haircut

Over Christmas break Clayton got his first haircut just in time to go to the big game. He sat in his cool chair like a champ. He did give the person who was trying to cut his hair a run for their money. He was all smiles the entire time and in the end it was a successful attempt. Such a big boy!

Clayton's Curiosity

Clayton's curiosity has really enticed him to be on the move. This is what happened one night when daddy was gone. How can a bright blue button go unpushed? The only thing that sounded more appealing was daddy's mixer and pulling off all the knobs.

Frozen Fun

Last weekend we were able to celebrate a sweet friend's birthday. As if dressing up like a princess (and PJs for the boys) wasn't amazing enough, Elsa and Anna made an appearance to this frozen fun. Everyone was giddy and could sing every word to the songs.

WPS!

Emma Kate and Caleb left to spend a week with Aunt Bec the day after Christmas. During that time, we took Clayton to the Texas Bowl in Houston. It was such a fun game. We arrived back home just in time to head to see friends and celebrate New Year's Eve. We were glad when the two big ones arrived back home, but it was nice to have special time with Clayton.

Clayton learned his hog call just days before the trip. He was so excited to see others that knew his new trick

.

Since we spent a little extra time in Houston we hit the Galleria and the science museum.

Emma Katherine's 1st Dance Recital

Emma Katherine had her first dance recital Sunday afternoon. She looked adorable in her beautiful yellow tutu and danced to "You are My Sunshine"
She smiled and I cried. It was precious!

She loves her teacher Miss Jane who has made her experience just wonderful.

The Wednesday before was her Spring celebration for Mission Friends at church. They sounded adorable singing and looked adorable in the shirts with their handprints on them. So sweet!

Sunny Sunday

That Sunday was beautiful. We got good pictures inside before church

and sweet ones outside in the sunshine afterwards.

The next evening it was still quite nice and that's no April Fool!

Soccer Time

Both kids started soccer practice. Emma Kate was excited about her pink ball and we lucked out with the times. They practice on the same day, same time and field beside each other. I'm sure schedules won't always work out this nicely but thankful they did this time. Clayton just stayed warm and watched from sidelines.
