Christmas back in time
I got to attend Caleb's field trip to the Shilo museum. It was a great opportunity for the kids to see how Christmas with similar and different to Christmas today. They played with toys that would have been popular during that time, talked about Christmas traditions and even got to sit by a fire while the staff, dressed up, talked about Christmas back then.
The Christmas nativity comes alive
One of the things I look forward to the most during the Christmas season is a living nativity scene that Rolling Hills Baptist Church does one weekend December this is such a special time with the kids get to participate in a real way. This year Clayton even participated as baby Jesus. It was also a nice surprise see the Coopers this is one of their favorite things to do during the Christmas season as well.

Not only did they get to dress up like angels and check rides are also available. It makes for wonderful conversation about traveling to come see the baby. My kids decided that would be a bumpy journey.

Christmas Lights
This Christmas season we found a new place with amazing lights. Just south of us is a well decorated house and area around it. We were amazed with all of the lights hanging in the trees and the countless inflatables. The lady selling the kettle corn said it had been there for years. Where have we been?
First haircut
Over Christmas break Clayton got his first haircut just in time to go to the big game. He sat in his cool chair like a champ. He did give the person who was trying to cut his hair a run for their money. He was all smiles the entire time and in the end it was a successful attempt. Such a big boy!
Clayton's Curiosity
Clayton's curiosity has really enticed him to be on the move. This is what happened one night when daddy was gone. How can a bright blue button go unpushed? The only thing that sounded more appealing was daddy's mixer and pulling off all the knobs.
Frozen Fun
Last weekend we were able to celebrate a sweet friend's birthday. As if dressing up like a princess (and PJs for the boys) wasn't amazing enough, Elsa and Anna made an appearance to this frozen fun. Everyone was giddy and could sing every word to the songs.

WPS!
Emma Kate and Caleb left to spend a week with Aunt Bec the day after Christmas. During that time, we took Clayton to the Texas Bowl in Houston. It was such a fun game. We arrived back home just in time to head to see friends and celebrate New Year's Eve. We were glad when the two big ones arrived back home, but it was nice to have special time with Clayton.

Since we spent a little extra time in Houston we hit the Galleria and the science museum.
