Farm fun at farmland adventures

November 1 we headed to Farmland Adventures. What we thought might last an hour lasted several as the kids were having so much fun. Clayton loved the corn box. Caleb liked pig races were a hoot and Emma tried her hand at roping. We were thankful for the gorgeous sunny day.

Family Photos

The Rubio family once again was able to capture wonderful pictures of the family. It's amazing how much these guys have grown in just a year.

Veterans Day Parade

November 9, which was also Veterans Day weekend, we found ourselves eating on the Square after lunch. Little did we know there would be a parade so of course we had to stop and watch. Miracle at the Bernets were there to enjoy it with us.

Razorback football

We've had several cold rainy football games but that hasn't kept us away. It was great to run into these familiar faces who are braving the rain as well.

Hog basketball

We enjoyed some hog basketball as a family.

Learning about missionaries

A missionary on leave was able to spend some time in the children's area at church allowing the kids to see a glimpse into what that life is like. Caleb even got to dress up and looked ready to hit the mission field. It's pretty amazing to see a picture like this show up in your Facebook feed knowing that your children are being poured into at church.

Christmas back in time

I got to attend Caleb's field trip to the Shilo museum. It was a great opportunity for the kids to see how Christmas with similar and different to Christmas today. They played with toys that would have been popular during that time, talked about Christmas traditions and even got to sit by a fire while the staff, dressed up, talked about Christmas back then.

All dressed up

Matthew and I were invited to a charity ball. It was a great night with friends and a wonderful excuse to dress up. Most of all, I loved getting to enjoy a night with this guy.

The Christmas nativity comes alive

One of the things I look forward to the most during the Christmas season is a living nativity scene that Rolling Hills Baptist Church does one weekend December this is such a special time with the kids get to participate in a real way. This year Clayton even participated as baby Jesus. It was also a nice surprise see the Coopers this is one of their favorite things to do during the Christmas season as well.
Not only did they get to dress up like angels and check rides are also available. It makes for wonderful conversation about traveling to come see the baby. My kids decided that would be a bumpy journey.

Emma Katherine's Preschool Performance

Once again we enjoyed a wonderful preschool Christmas program. And I looked adorable in her nutcracker smocked dress and saying her little heart out. We could definitely pick out her sweet voice as she sang with gusto.
We had a perfect spot to watch her. Three Wisemen and Away in a Manger were probably my favorite.
