We took advantage of a beautiful weekend to get some pictures at the park near us. With our weather, it may be snowing next weekend (or even tomorrow). I knew Caleb would enjoy playing with the plastic eggs as we have been having fun with them since last Easter. We are continuing a couple of traditions started within the past few years. We learned of one family's tradition who have for years let the first words out of their mouth Easter morning be "He is Risen" with the reply "He is risen indeed." Their children are no longer small and have homes of their own, but continue over the phone. Another sweet treat we will do again this year are
Empty Tomb cookies. Caleb is still too young to eat them but mommy and daddy will enjoy them. My prayer for Caleb this Easter, as is my prayer over him each night, is that one day he understands why we celebrate, that my words actions and decisions are relinquished of my own desires only guiding him to full reliance in the Lord, and that this be one day closer to personal acceptance of His promises.
