Thirty One & 1/2

Eighteen months!?! It's hard to even know where to begin in recording all that Caleb is doing these days. He runs everywhere rearranging our entire house. The office seems to be his favorite room as it is filled with computers, remote controls, various electronic equipment and guitars just standing ready to be played. He is quite good typing on the computer and loves to use the pick to strum the guitar. Daddy plays for him often and he continues to dance circles around the living room as seen in an earlier post needing us only to cue the music.
Caleb's favorite foods are yogurt, ham and graham crackers. He knows where all three are and will get them himself needing just a little help with the door. I'm sure he would like it if I would just stick to the favorites. He still has his blanket and is my little Linus.
My boy is the biggest flirt. When we are out, he knows when he has an audience widening his grin and batting is eyes on cue. He is getting to where he would rather flirt from afar when parents are around not wanting many to hold him. When left to play he does very well and loves "ch-ch" as he sometimes calls church.
He has started to mimic sounds for words but not yet consistent in using. Not being understandable to the rest of us doesn't keep him from talking. He babbles with such thoughtful determination. We just turn his words into dialogue and have wonderful conversations. His smile is so contagious and delights in the response he receives as he shows of his 12 teeth, the lower mid-left showing up three weeks ago. We've had our fits and minutes in timeout, but each morning he wakes (wallowing in bed like his mom) with the sweetest grin ready for the day's adventures. Happy 1/2 birthday little guy...I'll share mine with you in Nov.
