This Thanksgiving was an extra special one as we also celebrated Caleb's 5th birthday.
He practiced reading the Happy Birthday Song,
waited for family to arrive,
and Emma Katherine tuckered out early with so much excitement.
Caleb enjoyed his first beater licking.
The fun really begun once Grandpa and the Suiters arrived. The kids played in the "sandbox" while we waited on the turkey to cook.
Weston was happy as always.
The kiddos decorated Caleb's birthday cake with M&Ms. Emma was quality control making sure all of the colors were edible.
How can my sweet boy be 5 years old?
The special birthday boy got to eat his Thanksgiving feast on the birthday plate.

Weston didn't make the family picture but never wake a sleeping baby.
Matt carved the turkey. Notice the little hands lifting her plate to fill.
Emma Katherine was eager to feed Weston.
That evening Caleb finally blew out his candles.
These two helped cook breakfast.
We took a few pictures before everyone had to leave. Again, never wake a sleeping baby.
That evening we worked together to string our advent calendar and write scripture on each mitten. Ta-da! We are excited to read each day about what scripture says about the birth of Jesus.
