What a day of celebration! Caleb's understanding of Easter was truly a blessing. This was the first year he told me unprompted about how Jesus died on the cross for our sins so one day we can go to heaven to be with him. To say this filled my heart with joy would be an understatement. Throughout this year's study in scripture, I've been awed at how many accounts throughout scripture point to the cross even in what I call the hidey holes of the Old Testament. My prayer is that both of my children would one day truly have an understanding of Easter's significance in their heart and that Matt and I continue to discover new layers of how great a gift the cross truly is never ceasing to be awed.
All dressed up for such an important day!
Caleb arranged our Easter lunch by inviting friends to come eat pizza with us. He even mentioned we had lots of seats in the van for everyone. How could I say no to this sweet face? Yes, we enjoyed Easter lunch at his favorite pizza place and excited some dear friends could join us.
That evening the kids were excited to continue the celebration with baskets full of gifts.
