After traveling through most of Tennessee we made it to North Carolina. Our drive along the Ocoee River was beautiful. The sight of white water rafters brought back high school memories of the cold water.
One of our surprises for Caleb was visiting a model train display.
If viewing the walls of trains wasn't enough, we then walked through an elaborate display of many local landmarks.
Emma Katherine enjoyed adding train sound effects.
Back home, the favorite was no surprise...throwing rocks in the river.
The Cherokee Homestead exhibit in Hayesville allowed us to experience a to-scale replica of a Cherokee summer house, winter house, corn crib and canoe.

In honor of our little one on the way, we also spent a day in the small town of Clayton.
