Suiters Come to Visit

We were so glad to have the Suiters from Nebraska as well as Granddaddy this weekend. As with all good times, it flew by too quickly and we hope they can return soon.

The weather was so nice Saturday we headed to the park. Caleb took his first turn in the swing.

Aren't these sleepyheads the cutest you've ever seen?

Granddaddy read a family favorite. It still has the nameplate written in my my preschool handwriting in the front cover and has a special place on the bookshelf.

Gracie was eager to help Aunt "Thirsty" take care of cousin "Dallop."

Meeting Seth

Although Dawn and Tim visited us in the hospital, this was the first time to meet Seth, Alexis and Isaac.

We are so happy they could come to Arkansas to celebrate Seth's first birthday. Caleb was a little jealous of his mobile skills. Happy Birthday Seth and Congratulations Beardsley family!

New York

Caleb's first overnight trip was a big one. Over Spring Break we traveled with Matt's parents to New York to meet Great-grandma Root and many more new faces.

Caleb was a great flier, but showed off his screaming ability once we arrived. He impressed Aunt Katha with his sleeping routine and Grandpa King with his singing ability. Also, the pictures don't do justice to Grandma's overjoyed expression when she saw Caleb.

Everyone was glad to see Caleb, however, none more so than Ranger.

Friday we drove to Cooperstown with Aunt Katha meeting Nan and Cousin Jessica, Great Great Uncle Chuckie, Great Great Aunt Ruth, and cousin Nancy. Dinner was back in Greene was with Uncle Bob, Aunt Nancy, cousin Amy and Aunt Katha. We decided not to give Caleb a Who's Who quiz when we got home as I wasn't sure I would pass with flying colors.

Caleb and I enjoyed my last day off by attending Baby Bookworms at the library for the first time. He enjoyed the songs and stared at all of the babies around him. We read a couple of our own books at the end.

Happy Easter!

'He is risen...He is risen indeed' were the first words spoken today. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter. We have returned just in time to celebrate our first Easter here at home from a wonderful trip to New York to see family. To start our traditions, we made resurrection eggs. This year Caleb was more interested in the plastic green grass. We also made Easter cookies. When finished, the inside of the cookies were sort of empty just like the tomb. We wanted to make sure they would work before Caleb was old enough to be disappointed just in case they didn't turn out or recipe tweaking was needed. We took pictures before church and snapped one as he was playing at church.

Caleb wakes up with such a big smile on his face.

The Binns joined us for the basketball game last weekend. Byron and Caleb didn't make it through the game but enjoyed a little pregame fun. Saint Patrick's Day was Monday. In case you can't quite read his drool-covered sticker it says 'I'm not lucky...I'm blessed!'

Ready for Spring

We welcomed the warm weather this week and even enjoyed dinner on the patio several times. Caleb didn't quite know what to do when given a flower from our plum tree. However, when all else fails, put it in your mouth! Bath time is still a favorite. He enjoyed sharing his sink with a rubber duckie but had more success moving it with his feet than grasping it with his hands. I'm looking forward to spending more time with my boys over Spring Break and Easter. Caleb will take his first flight Tuesday as we head to New York to meet his Great Grandma.
