Eighth Anniversary

On December 7th we celebrated our 8th anniversary. Although we celebrated with dinner on our own, it is the trip to the square that is so special. Here is where Matt proposed 9 years ago.

Emma was all smiles for her first trip.
Caleb really enjoyed the pony ride this year.
Not only are the lights spectacular but this year we were able to feed reindeer. And of course we had to stop at Tim's pizza. Pizza and cider made for a yummy night.

All Aboard!

December fourth we hopped aboard the Arkanas Missouri Railroad for a Christmas train ride. As if just looking at trains and the station before wasn't wonderful enough, he was so excited to climb aboard.

We went with our friend Danny, Cindy and Kaylee Beth. These two were quite a pair and had such a great time together. We even continued the fun afterwards over cheese dip for dinner. What great friends they are!
Emma Kate was precious as usual allowing everyone to see and adore her sweet smile then curled up with her satin blanket for a nap.
We sang Christmas carols and Santa even came through.

We'll definitely try to do this again next year!

Roller Skating

A very good friend from College moved to Fayetteville this summer. I'm so excited I get to see them more and watch their little ones grow. We joined them at the skating rink to celebrate Hayden's 4th birthday.
This was Caleb's first try but he was fearless. This is one time still being in diapers paid off. Of course after a few laps he wanted Mommy to skate too. Even though it had been a very long time since I was on roller skates, I impressed Matt with my skills. There definitely hasn't been a reason in our 9 years of knowing each other for him to see them until now.
This brought back so many memories as I went skating each Saturday morning as a child. My dad made many laps with my sister and I as we learned and I foresee more in my future as well.

Emma Kate is 5 months old!

Where has the time gone? Emma has definitely grown out of the infant stage and such a sweet baby. She is doing what we call froggy sitting where she supports herself with hands between her legs. She squeals with delight and loves to grasp...hair, face, fingers, etc. She also likes to take her pacifier in and out.

It's so sweet to watch Caleb interact with Emma. He loves to show her toys, hold her hand in the carseat, and tell her everything is okay in a very empathetic voice. We have to remind him that she is too small to catch the football, but it won't be long.

Laughs in the Leaves

While in Helena visiting Gigi for Thanksgiving we took lots of pictures.
Many pictures have been taken on these steps and in front of this beautiful Ginkgo tree, but I think this year's pictures take the cake!

If you're going to get a shot of Caleb, you have to be fast as he is always on the move.

Can a cute little guy get a ride?!?
I can blow the leaves just like the wind!
