Happy Early Father's Day
Because we won't be home for Father's Day, we celebrated a little early. This tradition goes back to the dating days when we had to celebrate special occasions on the weekends and a weekend was always a special occasion as we lived 5 hours apart. After DADDY read from his new book, Baron ended with a spontaneous serenade.
Summers always fly by way too fast. I knew this one would be especially fast, so I'm applying the advice of what my mom told me growing up - to make the very most and not waste a single day. So far we've painted footprints on pottery, visited a new park, swam, enjoyed a play date with our church friends, posed for our six month photo shoot, tried rice cereal and a sippy cup (not crazy about either) and enjoyed a wonderful weekend of Grandparents. We've had more Boppy-babbling conversations, exhausting jumps in the jumperoo, development of a new game of peek-a-boo through the slats of the crib and attempted scooting during tummy time. We also did one thing we've meant to do the past five years but have never found time. We have blueberry farm just down the street and pass by it on a daily basis. This year, instead of stopping to smell the roses, Caleb has helped us to slow down enough to stop and pick up blueberries. It's amazing how God uses such a little child to help put life in perspective...of course He also did this with Hi
s own son!

Wow, what a great web entry. Beautiful pictures and words to match. Ethan has begun to have babbling sessions and smiles a lot more now. Also giving mommy and daddy a good 6-7 hours of sleep each night as well (bless him). Thank you for sharing you adventure with us. We look forward to the fall when we will get to see you guys more often.
