Emma Katherine at 26 months

My precious angel is growing up so fast. Her speech is so spontaneous and just love to hear her talk. Of course the sweetest is I love you. Here she is before attending a wedding since we joined the boys for the reception.

She gave up her pacifier as easy as Caleb did his thumb. One night we couldn't find one of nearly 10 we have in the house so she went down without one and still didn't have one the next day for nap. Sometimes she'll say "blankie paci" out of habit but from now on it's "gone" even though I would love to pull one out sometimes when we are out. She is one of the loudest children I've ever seen. She squeals and screams constantly but thankfully she is happy when she does it. She is definitely 100% all girl. She is fascinated when she looks in the mirror, loves to play in her box of shoes and can just about count to ten because that is how many times it takes the band to hold her little ponytail. The concept of one has been learned because the girl wants to vitamins all day long and is constantly reminded she only gets one. She loves letters and stops for every sign to "spell" getting quite a bit of them correct, but is partial to the letters in her name. Her dainty little run is up on her tip toes but she is still rough and tough outside with the bumps and bruises to show for it. Emma Katherine stays right with Caleb climbing on the play set and playing trains right with him. She has recently developed a desire for more bedtime routine than a quick song/prayer and putting her down. She will point to the Colossians verses hanging on the wall and ask me to read "Bible" which melts my heart and I take advantage of every cuddling second from this on-the-go girl. Her intense stare is only broken to say Amen at the end. She still loves her satin blankets and also like sleeping with a baby doll or bear. She has a crib full of favorites. We haven't transitioned to a bed but know that will probably be happening in the near future.
