Waiting to Welcome Clayton

Clayton began letting us know he was ready Tuesday night with consistent contractions even though from out appointment Tuesday we knew he had a long way to go. They continued to be between 5-7 minutes apart all day Wednesday. Wednesday I called Matt home early from an evening meeting wanting to go ahead and head to the hospital. We took these pictures just before leaving as our "final" pictures. What we didn't realize is that we would be coming back home. Although the story was similar to Caleb's birth, the different being at 38 week opposed to 41 weeks meant they wouldn't induce or keep me. Everyone kept telling me I would be back soon. Even the doctor I saw the next day said he didn't think I'd make it through the day. By the third, I knew otherwise. This little guy was going to be holding on longer like the other two.

We had scheduled to induce at Monday 39 weeks so these pictures were taken Sunday night after pizza...kid's choice!

Our family of four, soon to be five!
Instead of heading to the doctor at 8:00, Clayton had other plans. We went at 1:00am due to the severity of the contractions. Many awoke to pray for us at 8 only to find a picture of little Clayton who entered the world at 5:13am.

Grandma came Wednesday when we initially thought we were going to meet Clayton.
Here is our last picture as a family of four done by Caleb. So sweet!
