More snow days!

Caleb and I had a good time during the additional snow days. Here we are playing with the letters in our name and practicing our favorite one...C-eeeeeeeee! He was also surprised after a nap to find three choo choo train canvases with his name on them waiting to be hung in his room. He carried them around and wouldn't put them down until they were. He says "choo choo" with such excitement when he sees them in his room.

Pink or Blue???

Big brother Caleb has some big news
Whether the shopping will be pinks or blues.
From the picture you can clearly see,
A baby girl is in store for our family!

We are anxiously waiting to meet her June 25th!

Fun in the Snow

Caleb became quite interested in snow over Christmas break but not a big fan of playing in it. This round he changed his mind. Saturday afternoon we bundled up and headed out into the front yard. He made good use of his bibs and mommy's mitts as he enjoyed touching and sitting in the snow. After a long night of traveling and even pushing his own cab home, we were glad Daddy was home to enjoy this winter wonderland with us.

First Finger Paint

While Daddy was out of town for work, we decided to attempt some painting. I was going to keep it to rolling paint in a box but when he didn't protest paint on his hand too much, I encouraged him enough to paint these. Caleb found cleanup more fun as it involved playing in the water. He is not one to want his fingers messy so this was a big achievement and definitely frame worthy.

Funny Finds

I found these clips from Christmas on my pocket camera that doesn't routinely get downloaded. One weekend in December, we each had something going on at church. Caleb helped Daddy get band practice started before going to his own little party in the nursery.
Another exciting addition was a new train set daddy got "for Caleb" starting his interest in trains.

But the funniest clip on the camera was from Christmas morning as he danced with his singing dog. He has come along way from his dizzy circles to Third Day!

Snow Days

Thankfully snow days did not refer to being snowed in and we sure were busy during the extra week of vacation. Monday, Gigi and Aunt Dottee came to visit. By the time they left Tuesday I had pictures hung in almost every room and things all arranged. Later in the week we spent time with friends from Michigan. They were looking forward to warmer temperatures but didn't find any here. While playing, he developed a love for trains and played with them for several hours straight. How sweet is this?!? Caleb and I both managed to get a Doctor's appointment in during the break. Caleb has come up on the chart. He is around 50% for weight reaching 30lbs. and 25% for height. We heard a strong heartbeat from Baby King and hopefully get to put a name with a face February 1st when we have an ultrasound. I often say that I need a vacation after a vacation and this time I got one.

Photography Fun

While Rachael was in town, we had her take some pictures of these two cuties. Then I got a little carried away with editing especially with my new pixelmator program. Little Miss Red Boots or looking out the window may be my favorite. Caleb squatting on the tracks with a big grin is a typical look for him and Gracie is quite trained as she has had a few years experience! They were completely frozen and we didn't have much time, but we got a few really cute smiles.

House Full of Excitement

I don't think Caleb quite understood all of the talk about his cousin Gracie coming but was elated to find her here when waking from his afternoon nap. We fit in as much playing and Christmas festivities as a little 2 and 3 year old could possibly handle. The first night we hit the square taking in all of the lights and even a pony ride. We opened presents allowing Rachael to enjoy opening golf and train presents and me a babydoll. Caleb is now wanting to sleep with the "choo choo" Gracie picked out for him. Matt was happy trying new things in the kitchen and even got a little help. We decorated Jesus' birthday cake and sang for Him before enjoying. Caleb was constantly on the run working up a sweat and making use of every waking moment to play. Between many trips to the "beauty shop" playing with Barbies and finding the perfect gymnastics outfit, I got my little girl fix with Gracie. I wish we lived closer but maybe that makes us appreciate the special times we have together even more. Come back a visit soon!
