Weekend Outside

Despite the heat, we managed to get outside quite a bit this weekend. Proof of the heat is in the curls. So cute! This weekend we took Emma Kate to her first Natural's baseball game. She slept most of the game in the Bjorn and even through the fireworks show at the end. At one point, the batter was hit in the head with the ball. Caleb's first response was "It's okay, brush it off." I think he's heard that several times before! Another funny Caleb moment was one day this week after three deliveries had come to our house. Caleb goes outside and rings the doorbell saying & signing "more boxes" and looking for a truck to come down the street thinking that was how you make them come. Saturday night we went to the Botanical Gardens for the firefly night. He liked looking at the bugs on display and running around with the ribbon streamer he made. Many were dressed up and not just the kids so Matt and I found ourselves doing a little people watching. Oh my! Emma was awake the entire time, so we got a few sweet pictures of her. Caleb was much too busy for many pictures. We all had a good time and concluded the night making Daddy's famous milkshakes. Sunday morning we went to church. Caleb asks on a daily basis "church-n-friends?" so it is so nice when Sunday rolls around because we can finally answer "yes, we are going to church to see our friends."

These are a few more photos from this week of sweet little Emma. Caleb was too busy to slow down for a picture.
