The last full week in July is one we have looked forward to for the past few years and this year was no exception. We began our journey to the beach in Perdido Key Friday night to get a brief visit in Vilonia with the Suiters. Saturday morning we began our long drive and arrived in Mobile in time for dinner at one of our favorite places to eat The Original Oyster House.
Of course we have to stick around a little bit outside to dance to the live music and play on the equipment.
This crew was excited to see each other and get to the beach.
The next morning, we staked our spot early and got to work jumping waves and playing in the sand.
Both of the kids could have stayed in the waves the entire time. Caleb figured out the boogie board so he keep going when it was Emma's turn to go out in the water with Daddy.
I was surprised how content she was just playing in the sand. Digging, filling and dumping with lots of smiles in between.
Our first day in the sand proved to be a good one before heading up to the pool.
